How do you start to build a yearbook in eDesign? Just where do you begin? If you are an adviser, there are several things to do before staff can begin editing pages.
Even if you are working alone, without a staff, the process is mostly the same. NOTE: the following links will take you to sections of the eDesign Help area if you're currently logged in to eDesign.
- Gather all the information you will need to set up your book.
- Set up your staff, and choose an editor.
- Work with Editor to set up the book, including fonts and colors. Review the templates and book styles in the GO! Design catalog, and decide if you want to use one of those or create your own templates.
- Create the folio. There is only one folio in a yearbook.
- Make sure the color specifications are correct for your book.
- Open the ladder and assign sections and topics to pages. When you log on to eDesign, a blank ladder is automatically created with the number of pages associated with your job number.
- Assign students to pages.
- Assign deadlines to pages.
- Apply templates and set book style.
